My Role

Lead Structural Engineer responsible for the complete structural design of the facility.

What I Am Doing

Structural design leadership:

  • Leading the structural engineering design for the entire facility from concept through detailed design
  • Coordinating with multi-discipline teams (process, mechanical, electrical, civil) given the scale and complexity of the structure
  • Managing delivery against an accelerated schedule while maintaining design quality

Large-scale structural challenges:

  • The facility footprint exceeds a soccer field in both directions, requiring careful attention to thermal movement, construction sequencing, and foundation design
  • Structural systems must accommodate heavy process equipment loads while meeting seismic requirements
  • Design must balance structural efficiency with constructability given the compressed timeline
